Senior Health & Safety Manager
High‑End Commercial Fit‑Out | London (Site‑Based)
Up to £80,000 + Travel Paid
We are working with a leading high‑end commercial fit‑out contractor, renowned for delivering technically complex, design‑led projects across London's most prestigious commercial spaces. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Health & Safety Manager to join the team on a predominantly site‑based role across London.
The Role
Reporting into the Head of Health and Safety, you will play a key role in ensuring robust health and safety standards are embedded across our projects from inception through to completion.
Key responsibilities
- Carrying out regular site inspections and audits across multiple live commercial fit‑out projects
- Leading and managing accident and incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Providing clear, practical health and safety guidance to site teams, subcontractors, and project managers
- Liaising closely with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders, representing the business in a professional and solutions‑focused manner
- Supporting project teams with method statements, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
- Monitoring compliance with UK health and safety legislation, company procedures, and client requirements
- Contributing to continuous improvement of health and safety culture across the business
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and commercially aware health and safety professional with strong communication skills and proven site experience.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in a site‑based Health & Safety role within construction or commercial fit‑out
- A strong background in site inspections and accident investigations
- Experience working on high‑end or fast‑track commercial projects
- The confidence to liaise effectively with clients, principal designers, subcontractors, and senior stakeholders
- Excellent organisational and reporting skills
- Relevant Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent)
- A pragmatic, hands‑on approach with the credibility to influence site teams
