Job Overview
Delighted to partner \’Exclusively\’ with this leading Engineering business who are seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS Manager for their business in Ireland (Part of a wider UK&I Group).
The role is critical in leading and enabling group EHS to ensure high standards are attained, continually improved and that legal and regulatory obligations are met across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
– Support the HSE Director as required by the business needs and provide timely and appropriate escalations
– Develop and implement the EHS strategy on the Island of Ireland.
– Ensure continuous improvement in EHS performance across all operations and performance units (inclusive of field and non-field activities)
– Proactively engages, challenges & influences colleagues to deliver EHS compliance and drive continuous improvement in EHS performance
– Competent to effectively oversee 3rd party contractor EHS compliance and performance
– Roll-models the organisational values and adopts new ways of working to drive improved decision-making, productivity & effectiveness
– Undertake strategic reviews of current performance and operations
– Deliver a single approach to EHS Management that meets the organisation needs, statutory duties and the expectations of key stakeholders
– Develop and deliver EHS management systems, processes, procedures to ensure continual improvement, industry best practice with alignment to the wider Group
– Provide assurance to the HSE Director and SLT, by means of appropriate monitoring and intervention, that the business fulfils its legal obligations under EHS legislation
– Support the development of, and drive forward the organisations EHS Culture
– Offer competent advice on EHS matters to the company and its staff
Experience and qualifications:
– BSc (Hons) Occupational H&S / NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ Level 5/6 or equivalent
– EHS Auditor qualification preferred (ISO 45001 and/or14001)
– Chartered member of IOSH (or actively working towards)
– Evidence of current CPD
– Relevant experience in managing EHS at a Senior level with direct reports, minimum of 5 years\’ experience
– An understanding of the regulatory sector and the management of risk
– Experience in the management of change
– Experience in managing performance of 3rd party contractors
