A leading construction organisation is seeking an experienced QHSE Project Manager to support a wide range of construction, M&E, and fit-out projects across the Northwest. This is a site-based role, working hands-on with project teams to uphold the highest standards of Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental performance.
You will be responsible for championing a strong QHSE culture, delivering compliance across diverse sites, and helping drive continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead QHSE initiatives across multiple live construction, M&E, and interior fit-out projects.
- Carry out regular site audits, inspections, and compliance checks in line with legislation and internal policies.
- Support teams with RAMS, quality plans, environmental assessments, and improvement programmes.
- Deliver training, toolbox talks, and workforce engagement sessions to reinforce safe working behaviours.
- Provide guidance on CDM Regulations, ISO management systems, and best-practice quality assurance.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, preparing reports and implementing corrective actions.
- Work closely with project managers and site teams to embed a proactive QHSE culture.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in QHSE roles within construction, M&E, engineering, or fit-out.
- Strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, CDM 2015, and ISO standards.
- Must hold either an NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a NEBOSH Diploma in Health & Safety.
- Confident conducting audits, inspections, and investigations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the Northwest.
Desirable:
- ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 Auditor qualifications.
- Experience working for a large, multi-project organisation.
- Knowledge of sustainability and environmental management practices.
