This is your chance to help drive environmental excellence across one of the UK’s most transformative projects. You’ll join a diverse, collaborative team working on a significant section of HS2, ensuring environmental integrity is at the heart of every construction activity. This is meaningful work, with real impact on landscapes, communities, and future generations.

As an Environmental Adviser, you’ll support environmental compliance, monitoring, and continuous improvement across your sub‑lot. You'll help shape mitigation strategies, contribute to reporting, champion best practice, and work closely with your Sub‑Lot Environmental Manager to meet rigorous Environmental Minimum Requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Driving Environmental Standards: Lead engaging site checks and assurance activities that help keep the project environmentally responsible and legally compliant.
  • Supporting Smarter Systems: Play a key role in developing and rolling out practical, effective environmental management systems and monitoring processes.
  • Championing Innovation: Spot environmental risks and opportunities early, helping the team create proactive, forward‑thinking solutions.
  • Providing Specialist Insight: Contribute to important conversations on ecology, air quality, water, noise, carbon, heritage, and more.
  • Connecting People & Purpose: Work collaboratively with engineers, specialists, contractors, and external bodies to embed environmental best practice across the project.
