Health and Safety Advisor – West Yorkshire • National Travel Required • Permanent • £40,000 – £45,000 plus company car

Our client is looking for a proactive Health and Safety Advisor to join their team to support in site inspections across their national portfolio. About the role

As Health and Safety Advisor, you\’ll play a key role in promoting a culture of safety and compliance across all operational areas. You\’ll be responsible for:

  • Conducting site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • Advising project teams on risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
  • Investigating incidents and near misses, producing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
  • Delivering training and toolbox talks to site personnel.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Liaising with external bodies including HSE and local authorities when required.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) – essential.
  • Proven experience in a health and safety role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and other relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel nationally with occasional overnight stays.
  • Full UK driving licence.
