Our client is looking for a proactive Health and Safety Advisor to join their team to support in site inspections across their national portfolio. About the role
As Health and Safety Advisor, you\’ll play a key role in promoting a culture of safety and compliance across all operational areas. You\’ll be responsible for:
- Conducting site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Advising project teams on risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
- Investigating incidents and near misses, producing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Delivering training and toolbox talks to site personnel.
- Supporting the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Liaising with external bodies including HSE and local authorities when required.
Requirements
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) – essential.
- Proven experience in a health and safety role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and other relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel nationally with occasional overnight stays.
- Full UK driving licence.
