We are currently looking to recruit friendly, reliable, enthusiastic and hard-working Medical Receptionist to work in a friendly GP practice in QueensPark W10. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and able to work under pressure to provide the best patient service. Must have excellent communication skills and a can-do approach to their work. They must be able to work well on their own as well as being an integral part of our practice team. The post is part time 30.5 hours per week. Full training will be provided. Excellent pension scheme offered.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide a welcoming and efficient front desk service, assisting patients in person with queries and requests.
- Handle incoming telephone calls, booking appointments and directing enquiries appropriately.
- Manage patient enquiries, ensuring they are accurately signposted to the relevant service or clinician.
- Register new patients in line with Practice policies, ensuring all required documentation is completed and processed correctly.
- Process prescription requests using electronic systems, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
- Manage incoming electronic documents, including coding, scanning, and filing into patient records in accordance with Practice procedures.
- Support the wider medical team and carry out additional administrative duties as requested by the Practice Managers.

- GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
- Previous experience in the NHS is desirable but not essential
