Shireland CBSO Academy is part of the Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust providing staff with opportunities to progress both within the school, and across the Trust. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to deliver Maths at a brand-new academy, with the potential to shape your career with us as the academy grows. Shireland CBSO Academy is an exciting new school that opened to Year 7 in September 2023 and is the first state school in the country to have a partnership with a professional orchestra. Based in Providence Place, West Bromwich, the Academy will work in partnership with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) and serve all of Sandwell and the wider West Midlands. The Academy is for all students who have a passion or talent for music – they do not necessarily need to already play an instrument.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have the ability to teach Maths and motivate students across all ability ranges and key stages
  • An outstanding classroom practitioner with high expectations able to inspire and enthuse students
  • Committed to raising standards for all
