An exciting opportunity to shape the future of Computer Science in a growing, innovative school. Shireland CBSO Academy, opened in September 2023, is a unique institution established in partnership with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. As the country's first state school to open in partnership with an arts organisation, our academy offers an ambitious, creative and inclusive environment where every student's potential is nurtured and celebrated.

We are seeking a passionate and forward‐thinking Teacher of Computer Science to join our growing team. This role would suit either an experienced specialist or an Early Career Teacher looking to make a real impact in a school where pupils are highly motivated and enthusiastic about studying Computer Science.

You will play a key role in building and shaping the subject, contributing to the development of an engaging, modern curriculum and embedding strong foundations as we prepare students for more advanced study. You will also be responsible for delivering the subject at KS4, ensuring pupils are inspired, challenged and well‐prepared for examination success.

Our school benefits from a vibrant, music‐rich learning community and state‐of‐the‐art facilities. There is a particularly exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with our Music Technology pathways at KS4 and KS5, developing cross‐curricular links that reflect the academy's unique identity and our commitment to creative digital learning.
