Key Responsibilities
- Support child protection systems, arrangements that enable the Academy to meet statutory safeguarding responsibilities and promote the welfare of children.
- Provide safeguarding advice and guidance to Academy and client school staff to promote student welfare.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on the effectiveness of safeguarding arrangements.
- Monitor attendance and punctuality, taking a lead role across the academy and promoting an Inclusive Attendance approach.
- Support the leadership team in statutory responsibilities and ensure attendance is at or above national expectation.
Candidate Requirements
- Have Module One Safeguarding Training or equivalent, be ECAF trained, Lead Professional and Outcomes Star trained.
- Have a minimum of two years experience of working in safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Have worked for a minimum of two years with young people, with experience of record keeping, managing a caseload and handling cases at both Early Help and Child Protection levels.
- We are also open to outstanding candidates with strong experience supporting vulnerable children and families outside the education sector; a passion for supporting young people, tenacity, commitment, and in‑depth knowledge of safeguarding practices across agencies is vital.
