LOCATION: Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust
SALARY: Band G/H SCP 32 – 43 £42,840 - £54,495 per annum pro rata (£38,702 - £49,255 per annum)
HOURS: 37 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week
REQUIRED FOR: September 2026
The post holder will work as part of a central team of specialists strengthening, developing and supporting inclusive practice across the Trust schools to remove barriers to learning and improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND. Delivering a high quality, effective speech and language therapy services across the Trust, working with staff and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes. Playing a key role in supporting the Trust to meet its statutory responsibilities, including contributing to diagnostic assessment pathways and developing inclusive practice across all settings.
Qualifications
- Have a recognised professional degree qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Be a registered member of the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
- Experience working as a Speech, Language and Communication Needs therapist, preferably within a children and young people setting.
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary setting.
- Experience of working on a child Multi Agency Assessment Autism Pathway.
- Have an understanding of the SEND Code of Practice (2015) and Equality Act (2010) legislation and its implications.
- Tenacious practice to ensure that the wishes of children and young people are heard and affect decision making.
- Proficiency with the use of technology.
