Hours: 37 Hours per week, term time + 3 weeks

Salary: Band C/D SCP 5 - 17 (£23,911 - £28,993 per annum)

Shireland Technology Primary School is part of the Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust, providing staff with opportunities to progress both within the school and across the Trust. We are a new innovative two-form entry free school primary that opened in 2019 in the heart of Smethwick and situated on the same site as the three times outstanding secondary school Shireland Collegiate Academy. Our school has recently been rated as outstanding by Ofsted in all areas: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management, giving us the overall rating of outstanding. They said that we ‘provide an exceptional education for all pupils’. Our purpose is to empower pupils to achieve beyond expectations by providing the best technology-enabled education opportunities.

We are seeking a hardworking and committed employee who shares in our passion for making a difference to the lives of children. A good command of the English language, strong communication skills, and relevant qualifications and experience in KS2 are paramount for the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide high quality classroom support to pupils under the direction of the teacher and help promote the values and ethos of the school and Trust.
  • To support before/after school provision.

We are looking for someone who is dynamic, strives to continually improve, with a collaborative and friendly disposition who can work as part of a team and will take initiative. While we place high precedent on IT skills, as a Technology Primary, for the right candidate we would provide training to help improve upon skills where necessary.
