Location: Tameside Primary Academy – Wednesbury, West Midlands, United Kingdom

Hours & Contract: 37 hours per week, term time. Start date: September 2026. Contract: Full-time.

Salary: £32,916 to £51,048 per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify educational aims and objectives for the class and create medium and short term plans.
  • Prepare and teach a weekly timetable of lessons and activities appropriately matched to the age and range of abilities of every pupil.
  • Ensure that classroom practice supports all school and Trust policies.
  • Deliver the curriculum in an exciting and stimulating way that aids children’s progression of both knowledge and skills.

Candidate Profile:

  • Excellent classroom practitioner.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with, and the protection of, children.
  • Ability to extract, analyse and evaluate data, and to implement strategies for improvement for all pupils.
  • Good understanding of teaching and learning.
  • Experience with ECTs accepted.
  • Passion for educating and supporting young people, tenacity, commitment and safeguarding knowledge considered vital for success.
