West Bromwich Collegiate Academy is an oversubscribed Secondary School in the Black Country. The Academy opened in September 2019 with 175 students and has grown each year. It is now at full capacity with 805 students on roll. We are committed to inclusive education for all students at every ability and aim to equip them with relevant and cutting‑edge skills for the era in which they live. Every student should feel safe, happy, ambitious and respectful of all.
We are looking for a passionate and creative teacher who works well within a team and will help us provide exceptional educational provision for pupils and families.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, plan and deliver effective and high‑quality learning experiences for all students they teach.
- Be accountable for the learning and achievement of all students they teach.
- Liaise with teaching colleagues across the Academy to support strategic development, share good practice and plan collaborative activities.
- Take the lead for their specialist subject area within the L4L curriculum.
- Lead the Art Department within the Academy.
- Have experience teaching across the key stages.
- Be a consistently good/outstanding teacher.
- Be an exceptional classroom practitioner with high expectations of both learning and behaviour.
- Able to inspire, motivate and enthuse pupils.
- Committed to raising standards for all and share the drive to constantly learn and improve.
- Show willingness to lead initiatives and demonstrate evidence of impact.
- Demonstrate a passion to make a difference to others.
- Be proficient in the use of technology for learning and have a willingness to innovate.
