About the role
Apply as a Catering Assistant at Shireland Collegiate Academy, a new state academy partnered with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. The Academy was opened to Year 7 in September 2023 and serves students across Sandwell and the wider West Midlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, cooking and serving of meals and refreshments.
- Maintain and clean kitchen equipment and work areas as required.
- Prepare the dining room for service, including cleaning, sweeping, mopping and setting tables.
- Support evening and academy events during term time and additional two-week periods.

Qualifications
- Prior experience in a catering or kitchen setting is preferred.
- All post-holders will be required to provide an Enhanced Disclosure with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and a Child and Young People Barred List check.
- All staff are expected to support safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.
