About the Academy
Shireland CBSO Academy is an 11‑18 Academy opened in September 2023. It partners with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and serves students across Sandwell and the wider West Midlands. The Academy welcomes students with a passion or talent for music, regardless of whether they already play an instrument.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with individual and small groups of students to promote inclusion and provide support for teaching and personalised learning.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people, and follow school and Trust policies including the staff code of conduct.
- Support students’ learning across the curriculum, tailoring support to match students’ needs.
Requirements
- Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), including a Children’s Barred List check.
