Job overview:

Are you an experienced Midwife with a passion for staff, teams and the workforce? If so then we would love to hear from you. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, experienced Midwife to join our Maternity Team at the Royal Bolton NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner who will offer support and knowledge and advice to Newly Qualified Midwives, Internationally Educated Midwives, new starters/returners during their supernumerary induction period. In addition, the post holder will provide pastoral support to the established Midwifery and Maternity Support Worker workforce.

The post holder will be responsible for the planning, implementation and embedding of a robust recruitment and retention plan that will positively contribute to the development of a workforce fit for purpose. Monitor recruitment activities and make recommendations on new initiatives and approaches to the Senior Leadership Team. Be sensitive, aware, and supportive of the educational needs of those working within Maternity services and work to support development and progress once a learning need has been identified.
