Shire Healthcare are working with a specialist care provider for children and young people presenting with complex needs, to recruit a Psychotherapist to work in Herefordshire.

Due to the nature of the role, a car owner/driver is required.

Role snapshot:

The successful candidate will join an Therapies Team who work with children and young people (ages 10-18) providing assessments , formulations and psychological interventions (including DBT) on both a 1-2-1 and group basis. You will provide written assessments/reports and also contribute to MDT reports and attend meetings as required.

You will also provide a high quality therapy service to carers, families, and groups within/across teams.

Contract type – fixed term contract, maternity leave cover (6 months initially with potential to increase)

Hours – 3 days per week

Salary – £28,657 pro-rata salary ( £47,760 FTE )

Experience required:

Psychotherapists applying will have accreditation with a registered body such as the BACP, UKCP or BABCP . You will also hold previous experience working with children and young people presenting with complex needs, specifically trauma.
