Shire Healthcare are recruiting for an Addiction Therapist to work within a specialist rehabilitation service within 1 hour of Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Role snapshot:

  • The candidate appointed will be joining an MDT, who work for a family run business, supporting service users with addiction in a rehabilitation setting.
  • The post holder will conduct biopsychosocial admissions assessments, facilitate 121, group and family therapy.
  • The post holder will have the opportunity to develop in additional specialisms such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, eating disorders and gambling addiction.

Contract type – permanent

Hours – Full time, Monday – Friday, with occasional weekends on a rotational basis

Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 FTE

Experience required:

  • Psychotherapists applying will have previous experience working within addiction services along with registration with an accrediting body, such as AP NCAC, UKCP, HCPC, COSCA, BACP, BABCP – working towards accreditation is required.
