Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Senior Psychologist to work within a specialist educational setting based in Hertfordshire.
The candidate appointed will be working for an employer who has clinical services within educational and care settings for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. The successful candidate will be joining the school-based therapy team working with children/adolescents aged 5-16 presenting with Autism, learning disabilities, SEMH needs or communication difficulties.
Your role forms part of the multi-disciplinary clinical team. The successful candidate will deliver clinical assessment and formulation, and offer 1-2-1 interventions. You will also support and consult educational and residential colleagues to ensure they are providing therapeutic environments for service users and effective care.
- Contract type: permanent and term time only
- Hours: full time
- Salary: £66,175 - £69,875 FTE
Experience required: Psychologists applying will have HCPC registration (we welcome applications from Clinical, Counselling, Forensic and Educational Psychologists) along with experience working with young people with SEMH needs/Autism, preferably in educational or similar settings.
