Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a HCPC registered Psychologist to work within a forensic mental health service in South Wales.
Role snapshot:
- The candidate appointed will be joining an MDT, with a team of Psychologists, working across both locked and low secure wards for those who present with severe mental illness, complex trauma and personality disorder.
- The post holder will conduct psychological and risk assessments and provide person-centred therapeutic interventions.
- Therapies include DBT, CBT, CFT, EMDR and schema focused therapy on both a 1:1 and group basis.
Contract type – permanent
Hours – full time, subject to applications part time may be considered
Salary - £48,500 - £55,500
Preceptorship opportunities to band 8a available
Experience required:
- Clinical, Counselling and Forensic Psychologists applying will have HCPC registration and previous experience working in either secure services or inpatient services.
- Those with DBT training will be at an advantage.
