We are currently working with a Nursery in Wallingford to recruit a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse to join them on a permanent basis. This 60-place Nursery is open 51 weeks a year and operates from 07:30 to 18:00.
The right candidate will have a minimum of a Level 3 qualification, and 12 months of experience would be an advantage, although not necessary as full training will be provided. This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week over 4 days, giving you a day off each week. Nursery Nurse Duties include but are not limited to:
- Viewing planning sheets and record keeping of all staff in your room
- Ensuring routines are followed and run smoothly
- Implementing new decisions in the room at all times
- Following all policies and procedures
- Being an excellent role model to other staff in your room
Nursery Nurse Requirements:
- Experience providing play and learning opportunities for children
- Good interpersonal skills, organized and efficient
- Ability to support trainees through mentoring and coaching
- Acting as Key-worker and observing children
- Knowledge of the Children’s Act
- Experience working with toddlers or preschool children
- Good communication skills with children and parents
- Ability to interact well with children and use initiative
- Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and the EYFS
