This is a role in a fantastic Nursery in Bushey, featuring spacious indoor and outdoor areas. The Nursery has 4 rooms and is currently seeking a Nursery Room Leader or Room Manager. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of Level 3 childcare qualification. Experience as a Room Leader or Room Manager is advantageous, but applications from current Nursery Nurses seeking progression to a senior position will also be considered.
This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, with a competitive salary of up to £21,000 per year. The nursery offers a comprehensive benefits package, excellent career support, and opportunities for progression.
Room Leader Duties include but are not limited to:
- Reviewing planning sheets and maintaining staff records in your room
- Ensuring routines are followed and run smoothly
- Implementing new decisions consistently within the room
- Ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to by staff
- Being an exemplary role model to staff and children
Nursery Room Leader Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in childcare education
- Experience providing play and learning opportunities for children
- Strong interpersonal skills, organized and efficient
- Ability to support trainees through mentoring and coaching
- Acting as Key-worker and conducting observations
- Knowledge of the Children’s Act
- Experience working with children aged 0-5 years
- Good communication skills with children and parents
- Ability to build positive interactions and use initiative
- Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and EYFS standards
