Deputy Nursery Manager

Job Description

Shiraka are now working with a well established nursery in Ascot, to recruit a Deputy Nursery Manager to join them on a full time basis.

The nursery has the capacity of over 100 children and the Nursery Deputy role is office based, so the right candidate will be responsible for the room and management of the staff in it, and also supporting the nursery manager.This is a full time role working 40 hours per week and shifts are per rota. Deputy Nursery Manager requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ post qualification experience
  • Previous senior or Deputy experience in a Nursery Setting
  • Minimum Level 3 early years qualification or equivalent
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of legislation including EYFS
  • Empathetic, caring and friendly
  • Experience of SEND
  • Managing budgets, invoicing and payroll
  • Deputy Nursery Manager Duties:

  • To oversee the efficient and safe running of the allocated Base Room
  • To assist in coordinating rotas
  • To maintain staff:child ratios at all times
  • To contribute to the induction process for new and promoted staff
  • To develop strong partnerships with parents, colleagues, children
