We are currently offering a Senior Nursery Practitioner role in Woodley for a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse. This 60 place Nursery is open 51 weeks a year from 07:30 to 18:00. This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week.
The right candidate will have a minimum of Level 3 qualification, and having 12 months experience would be an advantage, although not necessary as full training will be available. You must be passionate and motivated to make a real difference to the children in our care and to make a big contribution to the team.
You must be able to effectively organise daily routines, engage the children in an array of exciting, educational and creative activities, have sound knowledge of the EYFS which is implemented through your planning, build strong and trusted relationships with not only the children but their families, and enjoy working as part of a fun, driven and committed team.
Nursery Practitioner Duties include but are not limited to:
- Viewing planning sheets and record keeping of all the staff in your room
- Ensuring routines are being followed and run smoothly
- Ensuring new decisions are taken on board and maintained in the room at all times
- Ensuring that all policies and procedures are being followed by all staff
- Being an excellent role model to the other staff in your room
Nursery Practitioner Requirements:
- Experience of providing play and learning opportunities for children
- Good interpersonal skills and an ability to be organised and efficient
- The ability to support trainees through mentoring and coaching
- Acting as Key-worker and to observe
- A working knowledge of the Children’s Act
- Experience working with toddlers or pre-school
- Good communication skills both with children and parents
- Ability to form good interactions with children and use own initiative
- Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and the EYFS is a must
