Fagley Primary School Bradford (BD2 3PU) is seeking driven individuals committed to supporting young people in a disadvantaged community. Join our dedicated team and make a real impact.

Wage: £14,526.20 to £23,492.04, depending on your age. Annual wage will be adjusted for Term time only working £12,172.00.

Training course: Business administrator (level 3)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. Please discuss working week and hours at interview. Term time only. 37 hours a week.

Duration: 1 year 6 months

What you’ll do at work:

  • Undertake reception duties, answering routine telephone and face-to-face enquiries and signing in visitors.
  • Support/assist in the supervision of students on work experience, trainees and voluntary helpers.
  • Assist with pupil first aid/welfare duties, looking after sick pupils, liaising with parents/staff etc.
  • Administer the provision of confidential secretarial, word processing, financial and other support services to the school.
  • Provide reports, newsletters and work with Inclusion Mentor to increase attendance in school.
  • Maintain and update Arbor database for all pupils including new starters and leavers.
  • Order requisitions for school supplies and ensure inventory system is kept up to date.
  • Update Teachers2Parents text messaging service for staff, pupils and various groups.
  • Assist in providing reception duties when required.

ADMINISTRATION:

  • Provide a high level of clerical support e.g. record and circulate messages to other members of staff, diary management, photocopying, filing, scanning, emailing.
  • Maintain manual systems and collate pupil reports.
  • Data inputting of computerised records/management information systems.
  • Produce data/information/basic reports as required.
  • Undertake routine administration tasks.

ATTENDANCE:

  • Complete daily attendance checks and ensure the attendance policy procedure is followed.
  • Track and report on improvements through analysis.
  • Home visits in line with attendance policy.

Training: Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • GCSE in English (grade 4+, A*-C or L2 equivalent).
  • GCSE in Maths (grade 4+, A*-C or L2 equivalent).

Other requirements: Proof of eligibility to work in the UK will be required. All applicants will be asked to submit a current CV and attend an information advice and guidance session.
