Role Description: This is an important position that provides essential leadership to ShipBob’s first UK Inbound Hub. You will be responsible for partnering with onsite stakeholders to foster a positive work environment, ensure merchant satisfaction and efficient hub operational flow. You will have a hands-on approach and be committed to the expansion & success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable the company to hit revenue goals. This role reports to the Director, Inbound and Hub Operations.

What you’ll do:

  • Direct several operational aspects including hub operations, merchant support, and partner communication.
  • Ensure that we meet and exceed our merchant’s expectations.
  • Manage performance KPIs, identify and track key metrics and plan continuous improvement efforts for your facility.
  • Use data driven reports and analyses to identify avenues for continuous improvement and propose solutions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
  • Hire, train, coach and motivate the Hub Support Specialist in your facility; you will be responsible for setting the team’s goals and managing them.
  • Establish, follow and enforce safety standards and procedures in compliance with a healthy work environment and legal requirements.
  • Share knowledge with other locations and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs.
  • Accountable for ensuring that all operational processes, including receiving, storage, handling, and shipping, maintain the safety, quality, and legality of products. Supports adherence to standard operating procedures and ensures timely escalation of any product-related issues.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • 4+ years of leadership experience.
  • Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, General Management or a related field, preferred.
  • Knowledge of FHDDS processes preferred.
  • Experience with safety procedures within a distribution center environment.
  • Established track record of taking ownership and delivering results.
  • Understanding of Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise independently.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision onsite.
