Are you an organised and customer-focused professional with experience in fleet management or hire operations? We are seeking a Fleet Hire Desk Assistant to support the day-to-day hiring operations of vehicles, plant, and equipment, ensuring smooth coordination between customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and coordinate on/off hire requests, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate hire records in the Fleet Management System
- Ensure vehicles are registered on and off the Motor Insurance Database
- Liaise with suppliers and customers to meet operational requirements
- Monitor contract compliance and report any non-compliance issues
- Assist with damage investigations, accidents, and supplier claims
- Provide administrative support, including raising purchase orders and preparing reports
- Support contract preparation and evaluation when required
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in fleet hire, logistics, or a customer-facing office environment
- Strong IT skills, including experience with Word, Excel, and databases
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Good numeracy and accuracy with financial awareness
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
Desirable:
- Knowledge of fleet management systems, vehicle hire, or contract compliance
- Understanding of quality systems and tender processes
- Experience in a motor vehicle workshop or plant hire environment
- A valid driving licence (Category B & C1+E) is beneficial
