About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and evolving the global scientific narrative, platform and long‑term positioning for each asset
  • Critically and continuously assessing scientific data, competitor activity and external intelligence to interpret implications, identify risks and opportunities, and define clear strategic responses
  • Synthesising complex scientific insights into clear, actionable guidance and “so‑what” plans for Medical Affairs and commercial teams
  • Leading global scientific dissemination, including publications strategy, congress planning and scientific content development
  • Providing scientific leadership into integrated evidence plans, lifecycle evidence generation and data interpretation
  • Leading external scientific engagement, including KOL strategy, advisory boards and research collaborations
  • Ensuring scientific activities are delivered in line with global governance, compliance and publication standards

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a credible global scientific leader with strong experience across antibiotics or antifungal therapies, and a proven track record of hands‑on scientific asset leadership within Medical Affairs. You will bring:

  • Expert experience within the pharmaceutical industry in antibiotics, antifungals or related anti‑infective therapy areas
  • Demonstrated ownership of scientific strategy at asset level, from data interpretation to positioning and lifecycle planning
  • Strong capability in assessing scientific and competitor intelligence and translating insights into actionable guidance
  • Experience providing science‑led input to commercial strategy and decision‑making
  • Ability to work effectively across global, cross‑functional teams
  • Confidence engaging externally with KOLs and scientific experts
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex science into clear messages
