About the Role:
Role: Support Worker
Pay: From Β£12.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
Contract: Full-Time 36h per week / Part-Time 24h per week / Bank.
Availability: 7-days per week for days, sleep-in, awake nights, plus rota of weekend shifts.
Schedule: Shifts are variable and are based on client needs and can consist of:
- Days: 8am β 8pm / 8am β 10pm / 3pm β 8pm / 10am β 6pm
- Awake nights: 8pm β 8am
- Sleep-in: 10pm β 8am
Driving: Licence is preferred but not essential.
Location: You will be regionally employed to support our services across the Blyth / Cramlington Area.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- To understand and respond to the specific needs of the client.
- To respect the rights, needs and dignity of the client while seeking to ensure that their behaviour does not harm themselves and other people.
- To help create a calm, happy and supportive environment, which promotes the physical and emotional health, security, individuality, and self-esteem of the client.
- To establish and maintain the trust and confidence of client and those who are important to them.
- To create opportunities for the client to develop, establish and maintain personal relationships and social networks, which encourage greater participation and presence in their own community.
- To participate in training in order to develop the skills necessary to provide the best support to the client and to improve and maintain your knowledge and skills.
- To attend staff meetings, training, and reviews some of which may be outside your working hours.
- To report immediately any incidence, suspicion, or sign of physical or verbal abuse, neglect, or harm of a client, as outlined in the Whistleblowing Policy and Procedure.
- To be responsible for ensuring that all drugs and medicines are securely stored and administered safely and correctly.
- To monitor client wellbeing and progress and document notes / complete daily record sheets.
- To report back to line manager on any aspect of the clientβs care which, in the view of the care/support worker, warrants investigation or urgent action.
