We are working with a secondary SEN school in Wallington seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to support students aged 11–16 with EHCPs. The majority of pupils present with SEMH needs, alongside ASD and ADHD. This role involves delivering accessible and engaging Science lessons within a structured and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Science lessons across KS3–KS4, adapted to meet individual needs
  • Support students with SEMH to engage positively in learning
  • Differentiating lessons to support a range of abilities and learning styles
  • Work closely with support staff to manage behaviour and promote progress
  • Contribute to a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment

About You

  • QTS is desirable but not essential
  • Experience teaching Science in SEN, PRU, or alternative provision (desirable)
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • Calm, resilient, and adaptable approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
