Dispatch Transport Clerk – Night Shifts (Temp to Perm) – Location: Aylesford
We are currently seeking an organised and proactive Dispatch Transport Clerk to join our busy transport operations team on a Night shift pattern. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate to build a long-term career in logistics.
You will play a key role in supporting the transport department with planning, dispatch paperwork, yard checks, and driver liaison — ensuring everything runs smoothly and in full compliance.
Shift Patterns and Compensation
- Sunday to Wednesday, 19:00 – 07:00
- Wednesday to Saturday, 19:00 – 07:00
- Type: Temporary to Permanent
- Pay: £15.10 per hour during the week, £18.12 per hour on weekends
Responsibilities
- Assist in transport planning and vehicle scheduling
- Accurately enter and manage dispatch paperwork and delivery documentation
- Conduct yard trailer checks and report any discrepancies
- Liaise with drivers to ensure clear communication and timely dispatches
- Monitor and support compliance with transport regulations and internal procedures
- Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint to manage and share transport information effectively
- Maintain a clear and professional telephone manner when dealing with internal teams and external partners

- Previous experience in a transport/logistics environment preferred
- Strong communication skills and confident telephone manner
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint
