Dispatch Operative – Chilled Environment, Temp-Perm
Location: Sittingbourne
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6AM to 2PM
Salary: £13.50 to £14.00 per hour
Are you a reliable and detail-focused individual with experience in dispatch operations? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy working as part of a team? We are looking for a Dispatch Operative to join our clients food production team on a Temp-Perm basis.
About The Role
As a Dispatch Operative, you\\\’ll play a key role in ensuring the chilled goods are accurately checked, recorded, and dispatched on time. Working in a chiller environment, you\\\’ll perform final stock checks and coordinate with multiple departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Carry out final checks on outgoing stock with precision and accuracy
- Liaise via radio with Planning, Technical, and Transport teams
- Use Electric Pallet Movers (EPM) or similar equipment to prepare and move goods
- Ensure all dispatch paperwork is completed correctly
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety
- Support the wider dispatch team and contribute to a clean and organized working environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dispatch or warehouse environment (preferably in food production or chilled goods)
- Confident operating electric pallet movers or similar equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures
- Strong communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams
- Comfortable working in cold/chilled conditions
- Due to the location of the site you must be able to drive
