As a Sales Representative, you’ll play a key role in building strong business relationships with our retail partners, advising them on market trends, and presenting opportunities to purchase Shimano fishing products. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic sales team and take ownership of sales growth across the Southwest and Ireland.
The Challenge
- Take responsibility for achieving sales targets within your territory.
- Manage existing accounts while actively seeking new business opportunities.
- Understand customer needs and provide tailored product solutions.
- Advise customers on sales support and after-sales service.
- Develop annual account plans, incorporating targets, historical data, forecasts, and planned actions.
- Review monthly performance against targets and adjust priorities accordingly.
- Deliver engaging presentations on new products and special offers.
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
- Stay informed about competitor activity and market trends.
- Prepare reports on sales performance and emerging trends.
- Represent Shimano at trade shows and events, meeting existing and potential customers.
Who we are looking for
- 2–5 years’ experience in a similar field sales role and/or within the fishing tackle industry.
- A proven track record of sales success.
- Strong knowledge of the fishing industry and its products.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in IT tools such as CRM systems, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A responsible, self-motivated individual who is results-driven and customer-focused.
- Passion for Shimano fishing products (or a willingness to develop this passion).
- People should be living in the same region (Southwest England).
