Shillito Group are recruiting for a reputable and well-established manufacturing business looking to appoint a Production Support Engineer to support day-to-day plant operations, maintenance and equipment reliability across a specialist production environment. This is a hands-on engineering role working with high temperature process equipment, furnaces, vacuum systems and associated plant machinery.
The role could suit somebody from a Process Engineering, Furnace Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Plant Engineering, Thermal Processing, Heat Treatment or heavy industrial manufacturing background.
The Role- Support the operation and maintenance of production equipment across the plant
- Assist with fault finding, breakdown response and equipment reliability activities
- Work on furnaces, vacuum systems, pumps, ducting and associated process equipment
- Support inspection, refurbishment and rebuild activities
- Assist with planned maintenance and continuous improvement work
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain safe and efficient operations
- Follow HSE procedures, permit systems and safe systems of work
- Practical engineering and mechanical fault finding ability
- Experience working within manufacturing, process plant or industrial environments
- Exposure to furnaces, thermal processing, vacuum systems, heat treatment or similar equipment would be advantageous
- Backgrounds considered could include Process Engineers, Production Engineers, Maintenance Engineers, Mechanical Technicians or Plant Engineers
- A hands-on approach with a willingness to learn and develop
- Good attitude towards safety, teamwork and continuous improvement
This is a days-based role offering long-term stability, training and development within a specialist manufacturing environment. There is a possibility of shift work being implemented in the future. Salary is dependent on experience and can be offered at junior or more experienced engineer level.
