The Role

This HR Generalist role is a varied and hands-on position supporting the day-to-day HR operations across the business. Working as part of a supportive HR team, you will provide generalist HR support to managers and employees, helping to ensure a positive employee experience while maintaining compliance with company policies and employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across a range of HR matters
  • Supporting employee relations cases including absence management, disciplinaries, grievances, and investigations
  • Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and induction activities
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Supporting payroll and benefits administration processes
  • Assisting with the implementation and review of HR policies and procedures
  • Supporting learning and development initiatives across the business
  • Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement activities
  • Ensuring HR practices remain compliant with current UK employment legislation

About You

  • Previous experience within a generalist HR role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience supporting employee relations matters
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualified (or working towards) would be advantageous
