Rotherham, Monday to Friday, days, Up to £20 per hour, Permanent.

Shillito Group are recruiting for a CNC Turner on behalf of one of our clients based in Rotherham. This is a proper hands-on turning role. You'll be working on multi-axis lathes with Fanuc controls, producing tight tolerance components in a clean, well-invested engineering environment.

The role will involve:

  • Setting and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls
  • Editing and optimising programmes at the machine
  • Working on multi-axis lathes with live tooling
  • Reading engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Producing tight tolerance components
  • Carrying out first-off checks and working closely with quality
  • Looking at cycle times, tooling and general machining improvements
  • Keeping machines running properly and supporting basic maintenance

What we're looking for:

  • CNC turning experience
  • Fanuc control experience
  • Ability to set and operate
  • Confidence working to tight tolerances
  • Able to read engineering drawings
  • Good understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds and fixturing
  • Multi-axis lathe experience would be ideal
  • Programming experience would be a strong advantage
