Shillito Group are recruiting a Furnace Engineer for a cutting-edge advanced manufacturing business in Rotherham. This is not standard foundry work. You will be working with high temperature furnaces (up to 7 tonnes) in a process that produces critical metals and alloys for aerospace, defence and advanced engineering.
What you will do:
- Operate and maintain large scale furnaces (up to 7T)
- Monitor and control high temperature processes
- Support production of high-spec metal alloys
- Diagnose faults and keep equipment running
- Drive safe working practices, no shortcuts
- Work closely with engineering and production teams
What you will need:
- Experience working with industrial furnaces / heat processes
- Background in metals, foundry, heat treatment or heavy engineering
- Strong mechanical or electrical understanding
- Comfortable working in a high temperature, hands-on environment
- Problem solver; someone who fixes things, not flags them
