Shillito Group are recruiting for a Mould Shop Inspector to join a manufacturing business in Rotherham. This is a standalone, days based role with full responsibility for inspection within the mould shop. You will play a key part in maintaining equipment standards and supporting production quality.
The Role
- Inspect mould equipment after production for wear and damage
- Record findings and update internal systems
- Liaise with the Mould Shop Coordinator on repair and refurbishment requirements
- Inspect new mould equipment prior to release into production
- Carry out displacement checks and in process checks where required
- Maintain calibration of inspection equipment
- Keep inspection records and data accurate and up to date
- Support repair and refurbishment activities when needed
- Work with the Mould Shop Manager to improve inspection processes and controls
What We’re Looking For
- Experience reading engineering drawings
- Confident using inspection equipment such as callipers and micrometres
- Experience with CMM equipment and 3D models would be beneficial
- Computer literate, including Excel and Word
- Strong attention to detail and organised approach
- Able to work independently and manage workload
- Logical and practical mindset with good problem solving ability
