An excellent opportunity for a motivated Residential Site Engineer looking to play a key role in the successful delivery of exciting projects while developing their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The Role

  • Reading, interpreting and communicating construction drawings to support site operations, including layouts, dimensions and material requirements.
  • Carrying out accurate setting out and surveying activities, ensuring precise lines, levels and reference points are established and maintained.
  • Monitoring project programmes and proactively supporting site progress to ensure key milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Coordinating subcontractors, materials and site activities to facilitate the smooth delivery of construction works.
  • Maintaining accurate site documentation, including inspection and test plans (ITPs), as-built records and environmental compliance documentation.
  • Supporting the implementation and adherence to all Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Building strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and colleagues while supporting and mentoring less experienced team members.
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments, best practices and technical guidance, sharing knowledge with the wider team where appropriate.
  • Ensuring compliance with all company policies, procedures and integrated management systems.
  • Undertaking any other duties relevant to the position of Site Engineer as required.

Person

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five years' experience working as a Site Engineer, ideally within residential construction projects, with exposure to commercial developments being advantageous.
  • Strong numerical, technical and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A full UK driving licence and relevant site certification/cards.
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and positively influence project delivery.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to use initiative and take ownership of projects from inception through to completion.
  • A strong commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
