The Role
This HR Generalist role is a varied and hands-on position supporting the day-to-day HR operations across the business. Working as part of a supportive HR team, you will provide generalist HR support to managers and employees, helping to ensure a positive employee experience while maintaining compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across a range of HR matters
- Supporting employee relations cases including absence management, disciplinaries, grievances, and investigations
- Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and induction activities
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Supporting payroll and benefits administration processes
- Assisting with the implementation and review of HR policies and procedures
- Supporting learning and development initiatives across the business
- Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement activities
- Ensuring HR practices remain compliant with current UK employment legislation
About You
- Previous experience within a generalist HR role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience supporting employee relations matters
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualified (or working towards) would be advantageous
