We’re working with a prestigious manufacturing business that needs a Production Manager to take ownership of key areas. Not just hitting numbers, but building a team that delivers them consistently. You’ll inherit a structure of team leaders and supervisors, but the real ask is to raise the standard. Set the tone. Driving accountability as well as optimising performance.
Day to day, you’ll be:
- Owning output, quality, delivery and cost across your area
- Managing capacity, planning and resource to meet demand
- Developing your team; coaching, challenging and building future leaders
- Driving improvements across process, layout and flow
- Working closely with engineering and quality to fix problems properly, not repeatedly
This role suits someone who:
- Has come up through manufacturing and knows what “good” looks like on the floor
- Is comfortable having difficult conversations and holding people to account
- Understands lean, CI, KPIs, but more importantly knows how to apply them
- Can bring structure, discipline and consistency to a team
You don’t need to tick every box on paper. But you do need presence, credibility and the ability to get a team moving in the right direction. If you’re currently a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or a strong Shift/Area Manager ready to step up, this is worth a conversation.
