We're recruiting an experienced CNC Operator for a well established precision engineering business. This is a proper engineering role, not button pushing, not production line CNC. If you're the kind of machinist who takes pride in good setups, accurate work, and doing things right first time, this one's for you.
The Job
- Operating and programming CNC turning machines
- Working with Fanuc and XYZ controls
- Setting datums and tooling
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Using precision measurement equipment to maintain accuracy
- Working independently when required, and alongside others when needed
- Taking responsibility for quality and consistency
This is a role for someone who knows their craft and wants stability, decent hours, and respect for their skills.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator
- Solid experience in CNC turning
- Confidence with Fanuc and XYZ control & programming
- Strong setup skills, including datum setting and tooling
- Ability to read mechanical drawings accurately
- Good mechanical aptitude and maths skills
- A sharp eye for detail and pride in your work
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work alone or as part of a team
Pay & Hours
Β£17-Β£19 per hour (depending on experience)
Day shift only
- Monday-Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00
- Friday: 07:00 - 12:00
