The Onsite Services Installer, Sr Associate is expected to complete full integration of Point-of-Sale systems, gateway services and related peripherals at merchant locations. This position requires coordination with merchants and field technicians to ensure all requirements are met before, during and after installation. Installers will work with our clients by promoting the highest level of service and professionalism. They are also required to train clients on POS ecosystems once installed. Representatives are also expected to acquire an in-depth understanding of the entire merchant processing industry.
This role will be based in Newcastle upon Tyne and will involve installations for onsite services within a 200-mile radius. In addition, time will be allocated for administrative and support tasks, which can be completed from the office or home.
Responsibilities
- Onsite & remote service scope: Installation, Configuration, and Training of Skytab POS
- Installation, Configuration and Training of Shift4 Payment Gateway products for integrated third party POS/PMS solutions
- Site surveys and network troubleshooting
- Hardware/software troubleshooting
- Liaise directly with integration partners to enable smooth installations
- Able to test hardware, software, and credit card processing with little or no remote support
- Post-installation documentation and photos of work performed at each location
- Willingness to work flexible hours including on call, early mornings, late nights, and weekends
Requirements
- Good driving record
- Willingness to travel on short notice
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Technician background dealing with network/computer troubleshooting or installation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs
- Friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing demeanor
- Ability to learn and retain new information and concepts quickly
- Ability to follow directions and strong follow up
- Proven good judgment and proactive decision-making skills
- Ability to adapt to change
- ePOS installation experience and/or F&B knowledge
- Technical certifications such as CompTIA A+, Net+, MCP, etc
- 2+ years customer service or technical support experience
