Responsibilities:
Regulatory & Compliance Expertise
Analyze, interpret, and implement card scheme regulations, mandates, and technical specifications.
Ensure compliance with scheme requirements and proactively assess upcoming changes to mitigate risks.
Act as the primary liaison with card scheme technical teams, securing clarifications and advocating for company needs.
Technical Project Management & Process Optimization
Oversee and manage certification projects, ensuring smooth implementation and technical alignment.
Optimize scheme configurations, including authorization, clearing, reporting, billing, settlement, authentication, and connectivity.
Identify areas for automation and internal system enhancements to reduce dependencies on external reporting.
Technical Consulting & Cross-Team Collaboration
Provide expert-level guidance to internal teams (R&D, BizOps, Way4, Operations, Finance) on scheme-related technical aspects.
Translate scheme requirements into scalable technical solutions within Shift4’s infrastructure.
Lead internal training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and compliance awareness.
Requirements:
Experience: 5+ years in card schemes, payment processing, or a related technical field.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of acquiring/issuing processes, scheme regulations, and payment infrastructure.
Leadership & Project Management: Ability to lead projects, optimize processes, and drive technical strategy.
Communication: Skilled at translating complex regulatory requirements into actionable insights for various teams.
Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with payment processing platforms (e.g., Way4) and scheme-related technical configurations.
