We're currently partnered with a large, international bank, who are looking for a Risk Officer to become a key member of the Compliance function, serving as a Risk Generalist with a primary focus on identifying, assessing, and managing investment and company-wide risks. The role supports Compliance and senior leadership in promoting a proactive risk culture across the organization. Responsibilities include monitoring, reporting, and providing insights on risk exposures related to investment activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop portfolio analytics and perform scenario analyses.
- Monitor and report on portfolio risks, including liquidity risks.
- Present insights to the Investment Risk Committee (IRC) and ensure compliance with investment guidelines.
- Oversee best execution and share risk analyses with relevant teams.
- Conduct risk assessments, operational resilience reviews, and ICARA processes.
- Report on risk activities to senior management and Head Office.
- IT Risk & Vendor Management (Desirable)
- Perform IT and vendor risk assessment
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in mathematics, finance, or economics.
- Professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA) preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments (especially fixed income), and risk management.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel and investment systems (e.g., Bloomberg).
- Awareness of regulatory standards (AIFMD/UCITS).
- Analytical mindset with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proactive and adaptable, with a focus on continuous learning and operational efficiency.
