Are you a PR Professional who also has knowledge of the cycling market and industry? If so, SHIFT Active Media may have the perfect role for you. This role will be varied, busy, challenging and creative and will suit a PR professional, ideally with a passion for bikes. We have great ambitions to develop our clients’ brands and exceed their expectations.

You will work with the account management, social media and creative teams, as well as members of the senior management here at SHIFT. Naturally, a key part of the role will be to build a close working relationship with clients to understand their strategic goals and work with them to deliver their objectives. You will drive client PR strategy and, along with the account management team, become a key contact for clients. You will produce and deliver against an agreed PR plan and budget.

By building outstanding relationships with key international journalists and media companies you will be able to deliver the best possible coverage and value to our clients. You will use tools within the business to monitor the performance of PR reach and review, report and make recommendations to our clients and ensure they receive excellent service.

  • Delivering coverage across online, print and broadcast internationally
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key international journalists, influencers and media companies

As PR Manager you are also responsible for day-to-day relations with the client. You will ensure that all relevant information from your work is communicated to other members of the SHIFT team. You will be up for the challenge of helping to grow the company and working in a fast-moving, dynamic industry. With your finger on the pulse of media trends and an eagerness to learn, you will be a valuable part of our team.

About You

You are an experienced PR professional either from within the cycling industry or with a love of cycling who is looking to take their passion to work. You are an exceptional communicator, have 3+ years PR experience and have a proven track record in press and media communications, ideally with experience of working internationally. You will be relationship focused and understand what journalists want and how to give it to them. With our growing roster of clients, you’ll need superb organisational skills to hit project deadlines. We ideally want somebody with an understanding and existing knowledge of all areas of cycling and the industry itself. Also, we’ll need you to travel, supporting our clients across Europe and farther afield on press days, product launches and other exciting initiatives. Of course, your superb organisational skills will ensure you work efficiently to hit all project deadlines.
