Do you have a passion for cycling, with Advertising, PR or Media Agency Account Management experience? If so, SHIFT Active Media could have the perfect opportunity for you within our Account Management team.
As Account Director, you'll be responsible for ensuring exceptional quality across all our services, consistently meeting (and exceeding) client expectations, and effectively addressing their business challenges and opportunities. You'll drive profitable client relationships, identifying and growing accounts where appropriate.
A key aspect of your role will involve leading and inspiring internal teams and bringing out the best in those around you, both within the agency and externally. Your strong client liaison skills are critical, as you'll need to naturally build and maintain strong, lasting relationships.
Personality matters greatly for this position, we're seeking someone strategic, positive, and unflappable. You must comfortably manage a high volume of diverse projects, seamlessly switching between fast-paced deliverables and longer-term strategic initiatives. Additionally, you'll bring enough experience and confidence to thoughtfully interrogate briefs, ensuring clarity and purpose from the outset.
Key Responsibilities- Be responsible for understanding our client’s business, their goals, challenges, opportunities, and their business performance and then keeping key internal stakeholders informed.
- Respond to client requirements (across our full range of agency services - strategy, research, creative, media, social and PR), in a timely and accurate manner, working seamlessly across the business with internal stakeholders and colleagues to deal with client requests.
- Be responsible for delivering outstanding client service, working with internal stakeholders to deliver according to appropriate strategy.
- Own and deliver client presentations and ensure flawless execution of campaigns through integrated plans as well as oversight and coordination of delivery across channels.
- Prioritisation of workload, working with the team to ensure timely delivery and on time execution whilst always managing expectations.
- Ensure that target revenues on each account are met or exceeded and that financial issues that require resolution are dealt with quickly.
- Leadership - You will demonstrate leadership within the account management team.
- Strategic and Commercial Thinking - You will develop new commercial ideas and use strategic thinking to advise clients on their business and marketing strategies.
- Marketing Judgement - You will create and present marketing ideas to clients.
- Influencing - Communicate with professionalism and credibility, internally and externally.
- Decision Making - Using knowledge of the market to make credible decisions, and collaborating with the wider shift team when required.
- Delivery - Providing timely delivery of services to clients, and keeping to deadlines set by them.
- Knowledge of or interest in cycling.
- You will be experienced in delivering digital centric integrated campaigns, that span paid, social, PR and experiential.
- Commercial understanding of how an agency operates, but also how our clients business models and strategies work.
- Financial understanding and able to recognise when to escalate commercial issues.
