Shields Health has an exciting opportunity for a MRI Tech Aide at our Falmouth location.

Position: Part-Time, every other Saturday/Sunday, 7am – 7:30pm (12 hours)

Purpose and Scope:

The MRI Tech Aide will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, assist technical staff, and maintain a fast-paced medical environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Follow all policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety.
  2. Assist technologist in setting up the exam room, including coil setup, linen preparation, and item availability.
  3. Assist in patient interview, including safety checks, symptom and history collection, prior exam review, patient dressing, procedure explanation, and reassurance.
  4. Help position the patient for the exam, ensuring safety devices are in place and the patient is comfortable.
  5. Assist upon exam completion, including removing the patient and safety equipment.
  6. Help the patient off the table and to the changing area.
  7. Ensure all paperwork and prior exams are complete and properly stored.
  8. Assist with data entry and room cleaning/stocking.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assist patients with mobility, push, pull, and lift at least 25 pounds.

Interactions:

Extensive interaction with patients, families, community, and staff.

Note: Additional work functions and higher or lower classification tasks may be performed as required. Employment is contingent upon credentials, vaccinations, licensure, and certifications.
