We are seeking a hands-on, creative Marketing Executive to drive our tactical marketing and support revenue growth. This execution-focused Executive will own our editorial messaging, manage social channels, maintain our website presence, and launch targeted campaigns to build a consistent pipeline of qualified leads for our sales team. Combining creative thinking with fiscal responsibility, you will also fully manage our events presence and marketing budget to maximize ROI.
Content and Social: You’ll write and publish content across LinkedIn and the Shieldpay website – articles, posts, and thought leadership pieces that have a point of view. We’re not looking for generic fintech content. We want content that makes a law firm CFO stop scrolling.
Website and HubSpot: You’ll manage the Shieldpay website through HubSpot – new pages, updates, schema markup, landing pages for campaigns. You don’t need to be a developer, but you need to be comfortable getting your hands dirty with HTML and a few CSS basics. We work with an external agency for technical support, so you won’t be doing it alone.
Sales Enablement: The commercial team needs decks, one-pagers, and collateral. You’ll create them. You’ll also need to prioritise – not everything gets done at once, and knowing what will actually move a deal forward matters more than producing volume.
Design: Social assets, website banners, event materials, ad creative – clean and on brand. You don’t need to be a graphic designer, but you need an eye for what looks right and what doesn’t. You’ll also be called on to build out PowerPoint decks – so a good eye across the Microsoft suite matters too.
Events: Shieldpay’s audience lives at legal sector events. You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders and the commercial team to identify the right ones, own our presence, and handle the logistics. Some will be sponsorship plays; some attendance only. You’ll get to know the difference and make the call.
Reporting and Analysis: You’ll track what’s working and what isn’t – SEO performance, LinkedIn engagement, campaign results. You’ll use tools like Google Search Console and HubSpot analytics to build a clear picture and feed it back into decisions. Not just producing reports; actually using them.
Performance Tracking: You’ll own the marketing budget – tracking spend, assessing what’s working, and making the call on where to flex or pull back.
AI-Assisted Production: We use AI tools as a core part of how we produce content at pace without sacrificing quality. You’ll need to be genuinely comfortable with AI in your daily workflow, not just aware of it.
Lead Generation: Drive daily lead generation by prioritising high-quality, sales-ready prospects, ensuring a steady stream of qualified leads is handed over to the sales team.
Campaign Execution: Launch and manage campaigns focused on revenue, lead acquisition, and specific product features.
Cross-Functional Support: Act as the marketing point-of-contact ensuring all assets align with our core values and messaging.
What we’re looking for in you:
- Experience in a B2B marketing role, ideally in fintech, legaltech, SaaS, or professional services – some previous agency experience is valuable.
- The ability to take a piece of content and find its angle – you can look at raw material and spot the stronger story it’s telling, whether that’s framing a survey as proprietary research, turning a compliance update into a point of view, or giving a thought leadership piece the edge it needs to actually land.
- Comfortable working with data (Google Search Console, GA4, LinkedIn analytics).
- You already use AI tools to get more done, and you’re good at it. You’ll also have an interest in how brands show up in AI search (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini).
- BIG plus: HubSpot CMS experience – you’ve built and edited pages, not just sent emails.
