As Shieldpay's FP&A Manager you will be the navigator, translating complex data into a clear roadmap that helps the leadership team steer the business toward growth, profitability, and market dominance. You aren't just reporting numbers; you are identifying the trends, risks, and massive opportunities that lie ahead. This role is perfect for a finance leader who wants to stop looking at historical statements and start designing the trajectory of the business.
Impact and Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Ownership: Take full ownership of the end-to-end financial control framework, ensuring robust processes and scalability.
- Close Management: Lead and deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including all statutory reporting requirements.
- Balance Sheet Integrity: Maintain strict oversight of balance sheet integrity, with a specific focus on safeguarding, settlement, and suspense accounts.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as contact for auditors, regulators, and external advisors. Operate alongside FP&A, Treasury, and senior stakeholders to align financial controls with business strategy.
- Capital Plans: Prepare and maintain capital adequacy calculations and ensure ongoing regulatory monitoring. Manage wind-down financial models and supporting documentation.
- Treasury Collaboration: Produce regular cashflow, liquidity, and cash position reporting in partnership with Treasury Operations.
What we're looking for in you:
- Proven financial control experience specifically within UK-regulated payments, fintech, or financial services.
- Experience thriving in a fast-growing, scale-up environment, with the ability to adapt processes as the business evolves.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, settlement flows, and high-volume reconciliation processes.
- Demonstrated experience with regulatory capital adequacy calculations and capital methodology documentation.
- Practical experience in producing wind-down financial analysis and required regulatory financial documentation.
- Solid technical accounting knowledge under UK GAAP and IFRS within a regulated environment.
- Strong capability in cashflow management, liquidity reporting, and forecasting.
- Hands-on experience owning and optimizing NetSuite within a growing finance function.
